The witness and a companion spent three days fishing and camping at a remote lake. On calm nights trees fell near camp, and each dawn they heard rhythmic wood-on-wood pounding for nearly an hour. They saw a dark partial figure behind a lakeshore pine, heard a long piercing scream with fast hillside movement, heard distant talk-like sounds and short screams, and found a single large human-like footprint in mud on the way out. They also saw an orange light over the lake that split into smaller lights, followed later by jets overhead.

The witness and a companion were sitting outside the companion's house at night when they heard a scream from a nearby swamp. Shortly after they heard a large animal breaking branches in woods on their side of the road. After owls called behind the house, an unseen object coming from the woods landed in the yard behind them.

The witness and a companion were in a boat heading toward shore at night when they heard splashes, smelled a foul wet-animal odor, and saw shoreline vegetation shaking violently. A large rock was thrown from shore toward them and landed near the boat. When they shone a flashlight toward shore they saw a large dark human-shaped figure with red glowing eyes partly obscured by vegetation, then yelled and banged oars before retreating to a safer distance and hearing a loud scream or roar as they loaded the boat and left.

The witness and his wife left the trail by a creek to take photos. They heard a very loud deep roaring and screaming vocalization approaching from across the creek, repeated several times, with breaking branches as it circled and then followed them as they fled. Frightened, they gathered their belongings and ran back down the trail while the animal tracked them from alongside the creek.
Hunter hears odd clicking noises while scouting
The witness hiked to a deer stand while hearing repeated groups of clicking sounds for about 45 minutes but could not locate the source on the ridge. While walking back out of the woods, the witness heard something large approach and stop behind them. The unseen source then made a very loud close grunt and, after the witness chambered a round, a loud guttural scream/grunt. The witness never saw the source.
Two young boys experience powerful, high-pitched vocalization
When the witness was about 10, he and a companion were shooting BB guns at fish in a pond on family land and then fired into a hedgerow. Immediately something unseen about 10 feet into the brush produced loud screaming and howling vocalizations and violently shook vegetation before moving rapidly toward the forest while continuing to vocalize. The boys fled to the house.

The witness and a hunting companion were about to start a nighttime hunt when they heard an unfamiliar loud scream. The sound appeared to move rapidly away, shifting from nearby to much farther within seconds while crashing through brush. Frightened despite being accustomed to the dark, the pair left without seeing the source and returned to their truck.

Shortly after 1:30 a.m., the witness and two companions heard screaming and metal being torn near junked cars below an old railbed. A very large presence came up the steep bank and stood close enough for its breath to be felt, accompanied by a foul odor. When the group fled toward the road it chased them with audible footsteps before stopping at the brush, and a heavy station wagon nearby was later found overturned and torn apart.
Wood knock in New York
The witness kayaked into a remote river area in the Adirondacks to fish and camp alone. On two consecutive nights he heard loud rapid tree knocks followed by prolonged crashing, pacing and movement around his tent. On the second night the activity escalated and he heard powerful lion-like roars and screams from about 50 feet away that left him terrified. In the morning he found a large human-like footprint about 15 inches long near his kayak and left the area.
