Four people were walking back to their vehicle from an undeveloped hot spring late at night when something kept pace with them in dense brush. After a comment that it was probably a bear, a very loud wail came from the brush, followed by something running downhill on two legs. The group fled to the vehicle and agreed they had heard a sasquatch. The witness returned the next day and found large human-like tracks in mud.

In late summer 1986 two teenagers were on the deck of a house bordering wilderness when they heard a long, distant scream from behind the house. Startled, they hurried inside, secured the house, and the reporter briefly stepped onto the back porch with a shotgun. He heard distant movement but saw nothing further, and they stayed awake most of the night.

Several years later in the same general area the witness and companions staying in a remote cabin smelled the same odor, heard scream-like yells all night, and the witness saw a bipedal figure outside while gathering firewood.

The witness and a relative were fishing on a river beach when loud screams began in the forest behind them. Branches snapped and full-size trees were seen shaking for about three hours. They laid caught fish around them, then left quickly with the fish when the sounds stopped.

A fish farm worker told the guest about a screamer on the high island by the farm that screamed, ran around, and threw rocks making big splashes. The next day it was low near the tide line screaming as two large trees fell into the water, and other shifts reported it returning in later years.

The group fled by dinghy to the tour boat and left for a dock, later measuring the standing impressions at about seven feet four.
