Four young men camped on a companion's land and heard approaching grunts, heavy footsteps and foul odor across a creek at dusk. After a rock was thrown toward the unseen sounds, something shrieked, circled the camp and emitted a loud high-pitched scream, prompting them to leave and later return with a parent. The primary witness heard noises again overnight, and the next morning the group found large footprints, hair and a bedding area before the primary witness briefly saw a tall hair-covered upright creature that looked at him and ran away.
Night hunters hear strange screams in the woods
Two people stood on a hilltop field at night imitating owls to elicit responses. Instead they heard a loud scream or moan from toward the river, heard it again closer after calling again, then heard something large moving quickly uphill through the woods toward them. They retreated to their truck, drove toward the gate, and heard additional screams from the woods and hayfield.
Man has repeated visits at family farm
In early fall 1980 around 7 p.m., the witness was in the kitchen after feeding horses while his wife brought in laundry. Both heard screaming near the corral gate, the wife ran inside frightened and horses fled, and the witness glimpsed a very tall dark furry figure moving through a lit patch while it screamed and made clicking growling noises before he went back inside and locked doors.
