The witness reports nearly a year of interaction at a rural home property where food left in a tree was taken, rocks were tossed near family members, vocalizations and a strong odor were noted, and a large hairy figure was partly seen beside a tree. The family came to view the main animal as a gentle female and believed several others including young were present. Activity is said to have faded after new homes were built nearby.

The witness and a companion were camping overnight in hammocks when a prolonged series of nighttime disturbances began. The witness heard crashing movement, branches breaking, rocks banged together, and a large object thrown through the woods landing nearby. Birds, an owl, and distant dogs vocalized during the sequence, which ended with a long wail, after which the woods went quiet. The pair left the area the next morning.

After other family members left the cabin for the evening, a father and his adult son stayed to clean the cabin exterior when stones began landing around them. They retreated inside as stones continued to strike the cabin on multiple sides. The witness and two companions were walking upstream frog gigging at night when they noticed a musky odor and heard heavy movement ahead in dense brush. Three rocks were thrown from above across the creek, followed by crashing movement across the water and another rock landing nearby in the creek. An unseen very large mover then rushed toward them through thick brush, prompting the group to leave for their vehicle.

Over several nights in December the witness and their partner sat on their home lanai at night and heard a loud cry or scream, rock-clacking sounds, and stones or pebbles striking the house and lanai, and noticed a strange unknown odor for two days. No creature was seen. An investigator later visited the property, found a displaced rock, a single possible footprint, and nearby scat, and noted the property backs onto a power-line corridor.

The witness and his wife were sitting by a campfire late at night drinking coffee when a strong sulfur-musty odor drifted into camp. A piece of wood then flew into camp and struck their trailer, and after the odor returned a rock was thrown into camp near them. The wife also heard distant screams that evening, and no other people were seen in the immediate area.

Last summer the witness was kayaking down a creek around midday when rocks splashed near him. He looked toward the source and saw a creature kneeling like a person, which then stood, made eye contact for about 30 seconds, and ran through the woods. He noted its stride was wider than a human's and it went straight through brush. He then paddled back to his truck.

A couple camping alone in a state forestry heard large movements around camp all evening. Around 2 a.m. the husband saw a tall hair-covered biped beside their SUV and illuminated it before it ran past him over a gate into the woods. Later both heard knocks and rocks striking their tent for about an hour until a large rock tore the tent roof. Next morning they found partial prints and fresh bark damage before leaving.

The witness became stranded alone when a car sank in soft sand on a remote forest road. While digging out the tires, the witness was struck by a thrown rock, then heard movement, footsteps and loud hissing vocalizations from the surrounding brush. A large wet adult creature and a smaller juvenile were then seen at close range crossing the road, throwing material at the car, before disappearing into the forest.

On the second evening the witness walked a sandy horse trail about a half mile from an earlier brush trail. He reported hearing an unfamiliar screech/growl, answering wood knocks, loud stomping nearby, and a rock thrown past him, followed by crashing in the brush. The witness was in bed late at night when barking dogs prompted them to go outside. They saw a dog run under the porch and something retreat into the woods. After shouting and tossing a small stone into the trees, the witness heard a shriek/howl and the stone was thrown back to land at their feet. The witness ran inside, then returned with a flashlight to find twisted vegetation and snapped branches and noted a foul smell.
Gas field trucker has encounter at well head near Aledo
A saltwater hauler working after midnight at an oil-field tank site reported seeing glowing red eyes above a 9-10 foot fence during an unusually quiet period with a skunk-like odor and a low growl. The figure moved out of view and then threw about five tennis-ball-sized rocks toward the storage tanks, with two striking the nearest tank. The witness felt intimidated and left the site, returning the following night to look for the rocks.

Two companions were night fishing at a reservoir when they heard tree knocks and unfamiliar calls that seemed to get closer. They decided to leave and found one of two large catfish missing from the back of the truck, then the companion was struck in the chest by a small thrown rock. Frightened, they packed up and left quickly.

After hearing an extremely loud angry whoop, the witness fled by car while loud noises moved through brush alongside the road.

The witness claims a family group has visited a rural wooded property regularly for nearly two years, typically evenings to early mornings several times a week. Reported activity includes footprints, wood knocks, odors, vocalizations, trail and structure formation, and direct sightings with food exchange and close interactions. An investigator visited the densely brushed property, observed extensive trails and shelter-like spots, and interviewed the household about four to five individuals of different sizes.

A few days before a tree-treatment job, the witness drove to a turnaround at the end of a logging road to wait for a contact. He heard a loud snap, heavy running footsteps, tree movement, knocks, three whoops, pebble impacts on the truck, a loud yell and a throaty shriek, and glimpsed a dark figure. He left and met his contact at the paved road.
Two fishermen frightened after dark on Lake Kanawauke
The witness and a companion were in a boat heading toward shore at night when they heard splashes, smelled a foul wet-animal odor, and saw shoreline vegetation shaking violently. A large rock was thrown from shore toward them and landed near the boat. When they shone a flashlight toward shore they saw a large dark human-shaped figure with red glowing eyes partly obscured by vegetation, then yelled and banged oars before retreating to a safer distance and hearing a loud scream or roar as they loaded the boat and left.

The witness and two companions were scouting for deer season by a creek near a cedar swamp when they heard an unfamiliar low growl. After the witness threw stones toward the sound, they saw a dark upright shadow moving at the swamp edge and rocks were thrown back toward them. Hearing further growls and large branches breaking, the group left quickly for their vehicle.
