The witness reports ongoing nighttime visits at a rental property since March 2012. He hears sounds, smells odor, and sees a shadowy figure run toward the woods. He believes it is a female with a child that steals fruit, garbage and fish, and says the figures watch people in the yard and peer through windows.
Frightening encounter experienced on family property outside Naples
Three people spending the night in a trailer heard distant howling that grew closer and seemed to come from more than one direction, and they called back. Small stones were thrown toward them, and they heard stomping, grunting, knocking, movement in brush close by, and trees breaking. They retreated into a bedroom where screaming, walking, and contact with the outside of the trailer continued for about an hour while one of them looked through window blinds and was left frightened.

The witness was driving at night behind another car when both vehicles stopped for a tall, dark, manlike figure crossing the road in the headlights. The figure was described as 8-9 feet tall with very long arms and a strong musk odor that lingered after it left. It reportedly broke the top off a barbed-wire fence post, went over the fence, and disappeared into the woods. The next day the witness found a broken post, bent wire, and broken brush leading into the treeline.

The witness and two young companions were fishing on a private wooded property around noon. When the witness approached palmettos to check a noise, he saw eyes, heard a growl, and watched the creature stand to about nine feet tall. The group fled and returned hours later to find food and fish missing, poles scattered, and their shirts draped high in a live oak.

The witness and a companion were camping in a tent at Alexander Springs. After playing cards until about 3 a.m., the companion fell asleep while the witness lay awake. The witness heard surrounding animal sounds fall silent, smelled a skunk-like odor, saw a tall upright shadow on the tent wall and heard a grunt-like noise. In the morning the coolers had been ransacked, and the pair left the campground early the next night after feeling uneasy.
Early morning encounter during a rest stop near Florida City
Two friends drove into the Everglades park in the early morning and parked at a pine habitat to nap in their car. They were awakened by an ape-like animal looking into the tinted windows, touching the car, and then rummaging through a nearby dumpster for an extended period while emitting a strong rotten odor. The animal eventually walked away howling, and the witnesses drove to Flamingo where they reported the encounter to rangers.

The crew was camped on the bank of Blackwater Creek eating dinner when a splash revealed their cooler in the creek was missing. Shortly after, a companion returned shaken saying something had watched him from across the creek. The witness shone a spotlight across the narrow creek and the group saw a large hair-covered biped stand up, its eyes shining, block the light with its forearm, vocalize, and flee. The men then left for a motel for the remainder of the job.

Late one night the witness was sitting on the porch at home alone with a dog when something was heard breaking through brush. The witness went inside for a rifle, heard the thing move to the back of the house and try the door, then fled through an orange grove, fell into a swamp and lost the rifle. After looking back and seeing a creature, the witness reached the road and got help, and friends later found the back door torn off.
Year long sightings by family
The witness describes repeated nighttime visits to a rural property over about a year by a family of large hairy creatures that ate fruit, looked in trailer windows, and once bit a penned hog. The witness reports seeing three individuals of varying heights, hearing frequent chattering, noticing odor, tracks and hair, and attempting to hunt them without driving them away. After about a year the visits stopped, believed to have ended when habitat regrew.
Movement only in Florida
The witness and friends were invited to a house for what was described as a prayer ceremony for family turmoil. In a window-sealed dark room a bound medicine man lay on a blanket with offerings while drumming, singing, shakers, flapping like a bird, a small green light, eating sounds, and a scream or children playing were heard. When lights returned the blanket was strewn, food was missing, and the man was unbound, and hours had passed unnoticed.
