A large dark-furred animal crouched and then fled rapidly through brush and up a slope over railroad tracks while the dog chased briefly. They saw it from behind running upright but hunched, described as bear-sized and gorilla-like, then left after hearing crunching behind them.

The witness was driving home at night on a dirt backroad when something struck the truck, leaving scratches and a dent on the passenger door. After calling for help, the witness with two relatives found footprints along the road and photographed them. After smelling a rancid odor all day and seeing glimpses, at night in candlelight one witness came face to face at five to six feet with a 7-8 foot tall hairy creature that made a loud robotic ARK bark. They all fled up a hill while it chased and vocalized, later finding the ramp burned from a knocked candle and snacks shredded.

On the walk out they heard escorts, saw smooth-moving figures on a ridge, and saw a basketball-sized light crash with nothing found.

Several years earlier the guest and a group of friends gathered for a nighttime bonfire on a high sandy riverbank. After hearing movement across the river, some in the group threw rocks, one producing a hollow thud, and something large charged across the water up the bank. The group scattered, and the guest helped carry a pregnant companion to a vehicle while the pursuer stopped close behind.
