The witness and a companion walked night trails and noticed a stationary bright light over a ridge. They then heard bipedal footsteps from an embankment, felt watched, and smelled a skunk-like odor. While leaving across the bridge they heard prolonged crying/calling vocalizations that continued to the trailhead. The witness later concluded the sounds matched Bigfoot recordings found online.

The witness and a companion stopped off a forest road so the witness could target shoot while the companion waited at the truck. After the witness returned to the road, both heard repeated very loud cracking snaps from a wooded hilltop about 100 yards away, spaced about 30 seconds apart, along with movement and bark-ripping sounds. The witness walked partway up the hill filming with a cell phone and captured at least one loud crack before returning to the truck and leaving.

Three rocks were thrown from above across the creek, followed by crashing movement across the water and another rock landing nearby in the creek. An unseen very large mover then rushed toward them through thick brush, prompting the group to leave for their vehicle.

After a child's whoops received an immediate whoop reply nearby, two adults who stayed behind briefly heard something approach closely then step away, seeing nothing with lights. The witness was camped with two children on a ridgeline near Tarryall Reservoir. On two consecutive nights the witness heard loud deep whooping calls, first from the valley below and then much closer to camp, with wood-on-wood-like banging the first night and coyotes falling silent. On the second night the witness left the tent with a rifle and light and heard something large and heavy crashing through timber with loud footsteps, then stood guard until morning and left early without telling the children.

Witnesses in a newly purchased rural home surrounded by woods and swamp report repeated dusk and late-night activity. The day after Thanksgiving in 2014 the witness walked with family and a friend to and from a quarry in the dark. Footsteps on one side paced them, stopping when they stopped and starting when they started, maintaining distance over about a quarter to half mile. They shone flashlights behind them and saw nothing, and the follower did not pass a certain point on the return.
