Good Samaritan has encounter near Liberty Hill
A driver stopped to help two motorists whose car had left the road after swerving to avoid a large hairy creature chasing a deer across the road. While fetching a rope from his truck to pull their car out, he walked directly into the creature standing behind his truck. He noted a foul smell, red eyes, and a low growl before it walked to the woods edge and then into the woods. He then helped move the car and continued his trip, shaken by the encounter.
Newspaper account of an encounter with an unknown creature near Salt Creek
A motorcyclist turning onto Fairfield Street claimed a Bigfoot-like creature ran in front of him and caused him to fall. The creature then continued south toward Salt Creek while emitting a terrible smell. The frightened rider got up and left. A nearby resident recalling the story years later said it was in the local newspaper the next day.

The writer's brother was driving alone late at night on Skyball Mountain when he smelled a strong odor. He saw a large dark hair-covered figure in tall weeds beside the road that stepped onto the road and stared at him while he stopped and watched for a minute or more. The figure then walked into the woods on the other side of the road and he drove home.

The witness's grandfather stayed late fishing at the private lake after the owner left, then drove out alone down the gravel lane. His headlights revealed a huge black figure that jumped up and crossed the road into the woods with remarkable speed. He was badly shaken, stopped visiting the lake, and only told family about it years later.
Sasquatch sighting in Arkansas
The guest's father and younger brother walked to a rural mailbox without a flashlight under moonlight. A figure ran silently across the road immediately in front of them, close enough to touch. Both described it as relatively smaller, about six and a half feet tall.
