Close daylight sighting by a fisherman near White Sulphur Springs
The witness was fishing alone from a creek bank when he noticed a persistent decay-like odor. He then saw a reddish-brown female-appearing figure squatting across the creek near a beaver dam, apparently washing something in the water. After watching briefly, he stood and shouted, at which point the figure stood, made a short vocal sound, and left quickly. He returned to camp frightened and stayed there.

The witness and companions were in bed at a hunting camp late at night when horses were spooked and something ran through camp while making a strange yell. They thought it was probably a bear at the time. The next morning they found large man-shaped tracks and later used the story to scare visiting relatives.

Four people were staying overnight in a remote cabin when they reported foul odors followed by very loud warbling sounds that seemed to move around the building. One of the occupants captured the sounds on a portable tape recorder. The recording was reportedly never submitted for analysis.

A group hiked to remote mountain lakes and fished. The witness heard branches breaking and a very loud wood-on-wood knock, then smelled a strong foul stench. Pine cones landed sideways next to the witness and large tracks were seen in smashed grass, with a sense of being watched and shadowed until leaving the plateau. No creature was seen.
Wood knock near Coloma, Montana
The guest camped at Coloma with one other person and did tree knocks. Something responded and came up to shake his tent during the night. He stayed inside and did not see whether it was a Bigfoot or a mountain giant.
Odor near St. Regis, Montana
Months later the witness revisited the area with two companions and all three encountered a strong musky skunk-like smell and left after feeling danger without seeing its source.
