A Special Forces team training at Fort Lewis set up a patrol base and were repeatedly approached at night by unseen figures. They tracked larger barefoot prints, smelled rotten flesh and wet dog, and found a clearing with flattened brush and broken limbs high in trees. They withdrew to a road and flagged a truck for a ride, believing they had entered Sasquatch territory.

The witness and a companion were scouting in a state forest when they noticed a strong foul odor. They saw an upright figure down a trail, watched it kneel in palmettos staring at them for many minutes, then saw it stand and cross the trail followed by a smaller similar figure into dense brush. They later found two footprints larger than the witness's foot.

After two relatives reported a roadside figure, the witness joined them and an uncle in a van to spotlight nearby wheat fields the same night. They watched an apelike figure first on all fours that then sat for several minutes before standing on two legs, with two additional sets of eyeshine behind it. A couple out fishing and scouting for elk followed animal tracks and noticed a strong bad odor, white coarse hair covering a stump, and very large deep footprints around a wallow leading toward a creek. They estimated the prints were about a day old and also noted scarred trees and broken branches in the area. Frightened by the size and strangeness of the signs, they left and reported the experience right away.

The witness was walking home at night near a creek when something began throwing sticks and rocks and following her. The throwing reportedly paused when cars passed. She ran to a bridge where the pursuer entered bushes but continued throwing objects, while she heard footsteps, smelled a strong bad odor, and glimpsed only a large dark figure. Footprints were reportedly found in sand the next day.

Shortly after getting out of the car they heard a loud scream and strange yell-like sound from ahead, followed by something moving through brush. After fishing until daylight they walked the creek and found two large barefoot-like prints in a sandbar near disturbed mussels, leading up an embankment into dense thorns.

A short time later the witness returned with a brighter light and companions, saw the blinking eyes again in woods beside the house, then heard movement and a throaty howl as it left.

A hunter left his stand in the morning to help search for a wounded deer and joined a companion who had spotted an upright hairy animal in a tree. The witness observed the animal standing in a fork through a rifle scope, noting reddish hair, bare facial skin and long arms, before it disappeared as they approached. They found heavy heel impressions and a strong odor at the site and later watched two distant figures moving in trees.

Two rocks were then thrown from the woods and narrowly missed her as she hurried away. Near a bend in the road she heard a loud low growl followed by a scream and fled running. She later learned a family member had been home the whole time and days later saw a large oddly shaped footprint near the roadside.
