Possible sighting by teens in Salt Fork State Park
A group hiking in Salt Fork State Park in the evening reported footprints, grunts and glimpsed movement. The main witness waited ahead with two younger companions and reported seeing a tall hairy biped peeking from behind a tree and then from behind a rock. The three companions ran back to their cabin and later said all three had seen the figure.

While driving south on Route 77 near Salt Fork Lake State Park in the early morning, the witness saw a huddled shape against the guardrail and first thought it was a bear that had been hit. After backing up, the witness watched from about 15 to 20 feet away as the shape stood on two legs, stepped over the guardrail, and walked into the woods. The observation lasted about 15 to 20 seconds in moonlight and was followed by a strong skunk-like odor; the witness stayed in the car out of fear.

Just past dusk while camping on a bow-hunting trip, the witness went to a portable toilet near camp, smelled a strong odor, and saw a white, wide-shouldered creature staring at him from a short distance. He screamed and waved a shovel, and the creature sprinted down into the ravine, breaking branches. The next day he and his companion found large footprints leading toward the ravine.
