The witness was riding a bicycle south on a wooded riverside trail in the early afternoon. He heard a loud wood knock close by, then commotion in dense brush, and felt he was being watched as the woods went quiet. After riding about 100 yards farther up a hill, he heard a second loud knock from farther away. He reported no visual contact with any animal or figure.

On a summer night in 2008 the witness was night-fishing by a dam near family cabins when he heard rhythmic splashes crossing the shallow river about 100 feet away and felt intense fear, abandoning his gear to hide in a nearby cabin. Around the same night a relative sitting on a cabin deck smelled a strong death-like odor, heard movement on the stairs and under the cabin, and felt the cabin rock hard enough to knock a VCR and tape rack over. The two compared accounts the next morning on the drive home and concluded the cause was a bigfoot, keeping it to themselves.

The witness was walking ahead of her husband toward a fishing spot at a strip pit when a very loud screaming began just behind her. She crouched and covered her ears as the screams repeated, then heard the source run, jump a creek, and crash through brush and small trees on the far side. Her husband, who had been following behind, heard the screams and joined her to watch the vegetation move as the creature left. They left the area without returning for prints after rain washed the site.

In 1976 while stationed at a military installation, the witness was sent to search along the river for a runaway dependent. In fresh snow in heavy cover the party found very large footprints, which the witness and another MP followed a short distance. They stopped after encountering a fresh-garbage-like stench and did not report the prints officially for fear of career repercussions.
