The witness shone a flashlight but never saw what was throwing the objects, and the group left when the objects landed too close.

The activity continued over several days with more distant knocks that seemed to approach, another large rock landing near the witness, and an ice chest found opened.

After a quiet interval, the two heard only distant noises when they went out again at midnight.

They retreated to their boat offshore, where the witness shone a flashlight and saw a red reflective glint near the tent. They waited until daylight, found nothing at the spot, then broke camp and left.

The witness and two companions were burning brush outside a cottage at night when their dog growled toward the darkness, a foul feces-like odor was present, and they heard a loud snap or crack but saw nothing in vehicle lights. They went inside for the night. The next morning they found large barefoot prints in sand behind the cottage that dwarfed an adult man's size-12 foot.

After the group settled around 10-11 p.m., a very loud two-part call was heard three or four times from brush in a draw at the north end of the lake, sounding more distant each time. A woman and a child went to a relative's house to feed a dog. The child chased the dog around the house out of sight, then screamed and ran back saying a monkey-like creature growled and ran into the woods, later adding there was a little one with its mother. The woman did not see the creature but heard movement in the brush.

A group hiking in Salt Fork State Park in the evening reported footprints, grunts and glimpsed movement. The main witness waited ahead with two younger companions and reported seeing a tall hairy biped peeking from behind a tree and then from behind a rock. The three companions ran back to their cabin and later said all three had seen the figure.

The witness and his teenage son rowed to an isolated wooded shore at night to set off fireworks while family watched from across the water. The witness heard loud huffing and grunting, crashing through brush, and smelled strong body odor approaching in the dense woods. He briefly saw a very large, wide, shaggy human-like silhouette between trees in his flashlight beam. He took his son and paddled away quickly, leaving chairs and fireworks equipment behind.

The witness visited a pine forest site three times in the early morning. On the first visit he heard heavy footsteps retreating, smelled a skunk-like odor, and saw a rock thrown into water. On later visits he heard loud repeated calls and low moans, heard footsteps approach to within about 15 feet without seeing the source, had a large stick thrown near him, left food and recorded vocalizations, and noted indistinct footprints and large broken trees.

He heard heavy bipedal footsteps, loud screams and howls that approached rather than retreated, and fired shots into the ground. He later heard repeating groups of three heavy knocks and was shadowed along the fence for over an hour without ever seeing the source, leaving him and the dogs shaken.
