The witness was sitting in his truck overnight at a wooded construction site monitoring a generator. He heard bipedal footsteps pacing in the leaves and a loud bang on a tank that he believed was a thrown rock. A tall figure stepped to the edge of the woods beside the truck, turned to face him, then walked back into the woods. He turned headlights toward the woods but saw nothing further.

A family of four driving through Geneva State Park in daylight stopped after noticing a large dark bipedal figure moving through snowy woods. The figure was watched briefly for about ten seconds before disappearing. Shortly after from a nearby parking lot the adults made whoop calls and heard replies described as whoops, a scream or growl, and wood knocks, while also noticing a strong unpleasant odor.

The witness was making coffee at about 3 a.m. when she saw widely spaced large yellow eyes looking through a window, with a dark width blocking the outside light and shifting side to side. After daylight, she and a relative found a strong odor in the yard, vegetation matted and crushed under the window, and squirrel corn missing.

The witness, staying at a house for a short time, was looking out a window in the early morning and saw a tall figure by the clothesline pole. The figure was described as about a foot taller than the 7-foot-8-inch pole, brown on top with gray speckled lower areas, moving hunched over and scratching its back, with a strong skunk and manure-like odor. After watching for several minutes, the witness saw it take two steps into the nearby woods.

After a companion fell asleep, the witness decided to walk home late at night along a road bordered by young planted trees. Something in the trees paced him from the side, stopping when he stopped and continuing when he walked. When he tried to look larger and shouted, he heard deep grunts and saw two small trees shake vigorously. He called a nearby friend for a ride and kept shouting until he was picked up.

The witness was walking along a creek bed in heavily wooded terrain when they found a very large footprint with five distinct toes. After photographing it with makeshift scale items, they heard movement and a large branch being twisted on the hillside and left the woods. An investigator later visited the site with the witness and summarized the track as a 17-inch-long left-foot impression.

Over a couple months of visits to a small rural cemetery, the witness and companions repeatedly heard wood knocks surrounding them, logs or objects being thrown, and a walnut thrown back toward them. They also heard growls, hissing, grunts, yells and screams on separate occasions, and once heard a large unseen thing charge to the cemetery edge then go silent. They never saw the source, reported no departing footsteps, and described a persistent feeling of being watched and warned from entering the woods.

The witness was hunting with a dog on a sunny afternoon when the dog became agitated and a strong odor was noticed. The witness heard grunt-like noises followed twice by a loud scream or yell, plus cracking and movement in trees and brush, while the dog returned frightened with raised hair. After driving to a more open area across a shallow creek, the witness found two very large barefoot-like footprints that seemed too large and out of place to be human.

The witness and her husband were sitting in their parked car at an overgrown abandoned graveyard at night. She heard branches breaking, felt watched, and noticed a foul odor, then watched a very tall bulky figure standing between pines and swaying side to side for several minutes before leaving. Her companion in the passenger seat did not see the figure, reportedly because of dashboard light glare.

On later visits he heard loud repeated calls and low moans, heard footsteps approach to within about 15 feet without seeing the source, had a large stick thrown near him, left food and recorded vocalizations, and noted indistinct footprints and large broken trees.

He later heard repeating groups of three heavy knocks and was shadowed along the fence for over an hour without ever seeing the source, leaving him and the dogs shaken.

The witness and two companions were deer hunting when they noted an absence of game and a feeling of being watched. Later near a dried marsh they found widely spaced tracks that turned and appeared to run toward cover, accompanied by a strong foul odor. They left the area for town and returned the next morning to photograph the tracks, when game had returned and the odor was gone.

The witness was awakened by barking dogs and went out with a rifle to check the property. Something rushed past in the dark and the witness fired shots, then resupplied and smelled a strong fecal and wet-grass odor. From a rooftop perch the witness watched a tall dark figure by a school bus that looked toward him, crouched, then ran away, accompanied by strange howl-growl sounds from dogs nearby.
