Hiker hears possible vocalizations on Appalachian Trail outside Helen
The witness was camped alone and felt suddenly uneasy, so he left his campsite for a nearby shelter. As he left, he heard a large unseen animal run away through brush and down a slope. After reaching the shelter, he was awakened about 5:30 a.m. by two very loud, high-pitched howls from a nearby ravine that he did not recognize as any known animal.

Possible vocalization and camp stalking in Raven Cliffs Wilderness Area
The witness and two companions made a late-night camp in a forest clearing. While trying to sleep the witness heard movement in the treeline followed by a grunt and a loud unfamiliar scream estimated 50 to 100 yards away. In the morning the group found unfamiliar prints beside the fire pit and then left the area.
