Possible whoops and knocks heard by relic hunter in the Ace Basin National Estuarine Research Reserve

The witness was searching for relics with metal detectors in a swampy coastal area when separated from two companions. He reports hearing two loud deep ape-like whoops followed by stick-against-tree impacts about 100 yards away and then again farther toward the river. He also notes smelling a foul stench shortly before the sounds while acknowledging it might have had another source.
