After hearing odd noises and corn stalks breaking for some time while dogs reacted defensively, they heard a loud scream and saw a tall hair-covered humanoid emerge from the cornfield across the road. The group fled inside and did not tell the adults at the time.

The witness was turkey hunting at dawn on a wet, still morning when he heard a rhythmic sound like footsteps approaching up a valley. A tall upright creature came into view about 50 yards away, stopped, stared at him, and crouched after he clicked off his shotgun safety before continuing on and disappearing. He did not shoot, then ran back to his truck. He later described a foul smell lingering after the encounter.

The witness was driving south on Route 55 near Seneca Rocks late at night in rain while towing a trailer when he saw a tall hair-covered biped about 20 feet away. They heard pounding on a tree, thrashing and shaking of vegetation, and screaming/squealing sounds, and encountered a very foul rotting-meat odor that was strong near the truck. A young companion reportedly saw a black, hairy, muscular animal about six feet tall descend from a tree and shake brush, though the face could not be seen.

Near a knoll the witness heard sticks breaking and footsteps, then saw a tall dark figure to the side and heard a frightening vocalization. The witness screamed and pedaled away fast while continuing to hear breaking sticks, and the creature reportedly fled bipedally in the opposite direction during about ten seconds of observation.

She looked up and saw a very large, hair-covered figure standing in a field about 30 feet away. Frightened, she ran inside and locked the doors, and a family member found nothing that night with a flashlight. The next morning she and a relative found flattened grass, clearings, and tracks leading into the woods but were too frightened to follow them.

The witness was driving at night behind another car when both vehicles stopped for a tall, dark, manlike figure crossing the road in the headlights. The figure was described as 8-9 feet tall with very long arms and a strong musk odor that lingered after it left. It reportedly broke the top off a barbed-wire fence post, went over the fence, and disappeared into the woods. The next day the witness found a broken post, bent wire, and broken brush leading into the treeline.

They heard cackling, yelping, growling and moaning sounds and found the trail blocked by a large uprooted stump with placed boulders and smashed trees. Two upright figures, one black and one light brown and hairy, were seen moving parallel to the group and leaping down a cliff, while the group felt stalked and watched as they hurried out to the road.

He was frightened and left the area quickly. He also noted a feeling of being watched and a nasty smell earlier while outside the truck.

Late at night while driving home over a river bridge with the convertible top down, the witness saw a large brown-haired being bent over in the lane apparently picking something up. As she slowed and moved to the other lane to pass, the being froze motionless and she was hit by an overpowering foul odor. She then accelerated home to tell her husband. The encounter happened around midnight about a quarter mile from her home.

A couple out fishing and scouting for elk followed animal tracks and noticed a strong bad odor, white coarse hair covering a stump, and very large deep footprints around a wallow leading toward a creek. They estimated the prints were about a day old and also noted scarred trees and broken branches in the area. Frightened by the size and strangeness of the signs, they left and reported the experience right away.

They watched a large silhouette leaning against a tree that slowly raised an arm toward its face and later disappeared, while a smaller fur-covered figure was seen walking in the open and then running when approached on foot.
