The witness was out walking dogs at night when she heard an unfamiliar loud sound twice from a distance. She said it resembled the calls used by investigators on a television show about Bigfoot and did not resemble familiar local animal noises. She explicitly stated she did not see anything.

The witness arrived early to turkey hunt from a prepared clearing on land he had leased for years. After calling for about two hours he watched approaching turkeys suddenly flee, then heard slow bipedal footsteps in the creek bottom. A dark figure he first mistook for a person approached to about eighty feet, grabbed a pine, vocalized angrily with language-like sounds and growls, displayed teeth, rocked and shook the tree, then walked away and gave a loud abrupt yell. The witness waited before leaving on foot, heard a loud fresh tree break, ran to his four-wheeler, left, then returned with a rifle to watch the treeline.

The grandfather saw an upright figure on a fence line drop to all fours and lope toward the children. He ran shouting, the children froze or fled, and the creature stopped, stood erect, then walked away into cedar trees while watching them.
