The witness and a companion were driving at night on a lightly traveled road between the Grand Canyon and Flagstaff when they saw a tall hair-covered biped walking on the shoulder. They stopped about 50 yards away and watched it turn to face the headlights, pause and look curious, then take a step toward the car. After the companion screamed it strode into the forest in a few strides, and the pair drove widely around the spot and left the area.

The witness was hiking alone near the school campus in late morning when a strong odor and digging sounds drew attention. Through brush about 50 yards away, the witness saw a large gray-brown hairy animal crouched over a burrow digging with hand-like limbs and making grunting sounds. When it began to shift toward the witness, the witness fled to campus and reported the sighting to school staff.

A tall hair-covered biped came up the trail, was startled on seeing the witness, hid briefly, then paced back and forth in front of the camp for over two hours. It left down the trail before sunrise, and the pair left for Phoenix at dawn.

The witness camped with four others and dogs near a stream. During the day they heard distant screams and at night saw faint red, green, blue and white lights moving down a hill. They heard single and multi-note whistles from multiple directions closing in, heard movement in the stream and road, saw a black mass run through brush, and left hurriedly after a whistle was answered back.
