The witness and a companion were camping beside a slow creek at night when the witness stepped away from the fire and heard footsteps in gravel across the water. A large slender figure that had frozen in place then took two strides up the bank, glanced back, and went into the woods. The pair quickly packed their belongings into the truck and left the site that night.

The witness saw a very tall dark silhouette with thick long limbs cross the road in front over a small bridge, moving quickly. Two companions on a hiking and camping trip followed grunting and rock-crashing sounds along a remote game trail. Through dense woods they saw bulky upright figures, first taken for a standing bear but judged to be something unfamiliar with a large upper body and no visible neck. When they returned to the spot the figures were gone, leaving stacked large rocks, broken branches and a powerful dung-like smell, after which they left the area.

While driving in a truck at twilight, the witness and a companion watched a large upright furry figure cross the road in a few long strides and disappear into the trees at the road edge. After stopping and getting out, they heard movement ahead in the woods, then a loud scream, and ran back to the truck while wailing continued behind them. They agreed they had encountered a bigfoot and returned the next day to find broken limbs but no footprints.

While hunting with a companion, the witness smelled a strong animal odor and saw a large hairy figure crouching near a swamp. The figure stood to full height and was watched for several minutes, reacting nervously to movement and making vocal sounds. The pair fired into the road to scare it, and the creature then fled into the timber.

The witness was drift-fishing alone at a river bend while a relative fished out of sight. After hearing a repeated striking sound, the witness looked across the river and saw a large dark bipedal figure repeatedly lifting a fish overhead and striking it on a rock. After watching briefly the figure carried the fish away toward the woods, and the witness reeled in and ran to tell the relative, who suggested it was another fisher and did not investigate.

They measured the prints and stride with a tape measure and noticed occasional additional marks downstream before the trail ended. No maker was seen, and the squad leader suggested instructors may have made the prints as a joke.

The witness and a companion were descending from a mountain summit in the afternoon when the witness noticed a dark humanlike figure standing in the pass above them. Both watched as the figure waved its very long arms up and down over its head in a way they felt was threatening. Clouds then covered the pass, and the two continued down to the trailhead.
Camper experiences odd odors and sounds, feels presence
The witness was camping with family near the Elwah River and was sitting outside after others went to sleep when a rock struck the tent twice. The family moved to their car, and the witness later stood outside in darkness sensing a very tall man-like presence nearby, hearing breathing, footsteps and snapping twigs and smelling a musky foul odor. After headlights showed nothing, the odor and sense of unease lifted and the family returned to the tent for the night before breaking camp the next day.

A youth camping group spent the night in a clearing near dense blackberry brush. Late at night the reporter and companions heard movement approaching through the brush, then retreated to sleeping bags. Overnight two unseen creatures reportedly entered camp, vocalized softly, disturbed food supplies, and stepped on and touched one sleeping girl who remained awake while others slept. At dawn no footprints were found on dry ground.

The witness and a relative were riding horses on a ranch trail in the morning when the horses stopped and refused to move. After the birds went quiet and a branch snap was heard, the witness saw the back of a large hair-covered being about twenty feet away moving trees aside before disappearing. The horses then galloped back to the barn, and the relative declined to discuss what happened.

Camp staff sent the children home early citing a bear, though the witness insisted the face and eyes looked human.
