An unseen heavy animal was heard breaking limbs, breathing and grunting at the tree line, then shadowing the walk and stopping when the witness stopped. The witness reached the truck and left without ever seeing the source.

The dogs refused to leave the porch while reacting to movement in an adjacent tobacco field. During a daytime rock-hunting outing, the witness and her younger sister walked down a trail past a creek. Something charged toward them from a wooded hill, crashing through vegetation while emitting a terrifying howl/growl, and the witness glimpsed a black figure. Both girls fled back to their group in tears and left the area immediately.
