The witness sat on a stool in brushy woods near dusk in bad weather waiting for game. A very loud scream was heard from close range, prompting the witness to leave toward a road and a truck. An unseen heavy animal was heard breaking limbs, breathing and grunting at the tree line, then shadowing the walk and stopping when the witness stopped. The witness reached the truck and left without ever seeing the source.

The witness and a companion followed noises into woods on private property after seeing large movement in the treeline. After a deep growl and handgun shots, they were confronted at the treeline by two large hairy figures that stomped, rocked, and threw branches. A teacher and companions are said to have encountered a tall creature on at least six occasions near an old bridge in Cooke County, Texas. The encounters occurred at night from a vehicle, with the figure seen as a tall silhouette in headlights and heard making threatening noises while moving through brush. On one occasion the creature was described as bouncing a limb, whose height was measured the next day, and daytime searches reportedly found bones in the creek. Shots were allegedly fired at the creature without apparent effect.

At age 12 or 13 while exploring alone along a cliff top, the witness heard low grunts and rocks rolling below. Looking over the edge, he saw a very large hair-covered creature crouched on two legs overturning large rocks with its arms and hands. Startled, he ran back to his group.

The same crippled female was heard, smelled, and twice seen, shook brush, threw objects when angry, tore down a camera tree, liked squeaky toys which she broke and lined up, and watched a dog fetch before disappearing after a road and well brought more people.
