The witness and his brother drove into the woods to meet friends with a Jeep. After noticing unusual quiet and a small rock landing between them, they moved down the trail and stopped. The witness looked down a tree and saw a large dark figure partly behind it, swaying and breathing. His brother told him to get in the truck and they fled without looking back.
Sasquatch sighting in Maine (1985)
While jogging on a wooded dirt trail in the evening, the witness came around a bend and saw a huge reddish-brown shaggy animal standing in marsh water about 20 yards away. The animal was bent over with its back to him, digging into the bank with both hands and flinging mud behind it. Realizing it was not a bear or moose, the witness ran home terrified and returned once the next day before avoiding the spot.

On the night of moving out, five individuals approached the property. The two adults stayed 50-75 yards back while three juveniles of different ages came within 10 yards of the deck for about 45 minutes, swaying, watching, and making growl-like practicing sounds.
