Pedestrian has nighttime sighting along the Red River
Around 2:30 a.m. on a clear night, the witness was walking home along a road paralleling a river when a strong bad odor and a loud splash drew attention to the water. About 60 feet away, a large, broad-shouldered, dark, long-haired figure stood upright in the river and appeared to be fishing, moving, splashing, and pausing to look around. The witness watched for several minutes while continuing down the road before leaving the area.

Friends living by the Ohio River reported hearing loud yowling from the woods behind their house that they could not identify as a known animal. They also reported hearing something crashing through underbrush on a steep hillside. The witness was home watching a baseball game when a strange noise from the back porch prompted investigation with a pistol. The witness reported seeing a large dark upright shadow-like figure running toward the woods, firing shots, then seeing it again near an old stable and firing again without hitting it. Afterwards the witness found a porch freezer broken into with frozen food scattered, plus white hairs and ground impressions.

In childhood, the witness and a companion heard a thumping noise while playing and went to investigate. They saw a large hairy animal squatting nearby using pieces of firewood to dig in the ground. The animal stood up, bared its teeth silently, and walked toward them, causing them to flee into the companion's house. When an adult checked moments later, the animal was gone leaving only disturbed ground.
