On August 1, 1990, a woman at a mobile home near Eldon, Oklahoma reported hearing noises and smelling a bad odor before seeing a very tall, heavy creature. A deputy later found large impressions at the scene. Two days later, two other residents reported a similar upright animal at a trash pile nearby.

They crouched in brush and saw a large dark brown creature crouching across the field, which then stood erect, grunted, raised its left arm, and walked back into the woods. The witness did not pursue and left directly for the vehicle.

Four youths went hunting past the guest's camp on a logged area near Estacada. After feeling uneasy in young fir trees and hearing a loud snap near a brush pile, they noticed something pacing them in brush. About 100 yards from the paved road they saw the head and shoulders of a seven-foot dark silhouette between poplar trees at sunset; it shifted its weight, confirming it was solid, and they retreated to the road.

After the dog was sent into brush, yelped, and fled to camp, the nine-year-old [name withheld] saw a tall hair-covered figure standing uphill watching them. The companions were shaken for hours but later denied the incident, and the witness remains uncertain whether it was a costumed person or a real creature.

While hunting alone along railroad tracks in late fall, the witness heard rustling and then footsteps paralleling his movement through the woods. The source kept pace at a distance, stopping when he stopped and moving when he moved, with heavy footfalls and loud branch breaking. It followed him to the edge of an open field near his parked truck. He never saw the source and called out without reply.

In early summer 1984 the witness, then 14, and a companion rowed to an island in Haywire Bay for an overnight fishing trip. Late at night they heard repeated very large splashes from the mainland side that sounded like large rocks being dropped or thrown into the water. They considered a beaver tail slap but felt the timing and resounding sound did not fit. They told their parents, who attributed it to teenage imagination.

After hearing a repeated striking sound, the witness looked across the river and saw a large dark bipedal figure repeatedly lifting a fish overhead and striking it on a rock. After watching briefly the figure carried the fish away toward the woods, and the witness reeled in and ran to tell the relative, who suggested it was another fisher and did not investigate.

Two companions camped in a remote wooded area after clearing a small site and lighting a fire. For several hours something circled the camp a few yards away, producing walking and breathing sounds and a musky odor. One companion glimpsed the figure in firelight as a much taller and wider upright figure, and it followed them out and crossed a road in a few steps as they left.

Three teens sitting around a campfire at night heard a sound behind their tents and went to investigate without lights. A tall figure stepped out from behind a tree close to them, prompting them to flee to camp, arm themselves, and enlarge the fire. Hearing heavy breathing behind, the witness turned and saw a tall, athletic, hair-covered male-like creature standing by a tree on the bank about 100-150 feet away. The two stared at each other for several minutes, and as the witness moved sideways downstream the creature moved between trees keeping watch, until the witness reached the companion; when they returned the creature was gone and no prints were found in dry sandy soil.

A family living in a rural wood-frame home reported repeated nighttime visits over several years by two large hair-covered bipeds, one larger and one smaller. The creatures were said to peer in windows, mimic an infant's sounds, produce a strong septic odor, throw heavy tanks, damage a vehicle, and leave hair on the house. Livestock on surrounding farms were found dead with intestines removed. After the father fired through a wall at one creature, only the smaller one was reportedly seen, and activity lessened after relatives guarded the house and a protective ritual was performed.

The witness was camping with family in a wooded Oregon area near a shallow river and was playing outside a camper while two relatives napped. After hearing underbrush rustle and noticing a small sapling bend, the witness moved closer and saw a large hairy hand reach from behind berry brush to grab berries from about 8 to 10 feet away. The witness ran back to camp without seeing the rest of the creature and later described the hand as clearly a hand rather than a paw.

Through brush about 50 yards away, the witness saw a large gray-brown hairy animal crouched over a burrow digging with hand-like limbs and making grunting sounds. When it began to shift toward the witness, the witness fled to campus and reported the sighting to school staff.
