Evening sighting at a cornfield near New Philadelphia
In June 2008 around 9:30 p.m., the witness was walking with a child along a road toward a farm when a strange high-pitched howl and musty odor were noticed. A tall, hairy human-like figure emerged from a cornfield and followed at a distance as they hurried toward a waiting vehicle. When vehicle headlights were turned on, the figure paused, vocalized again, and retreated quickly into the corn. The waiting adult also heard the vocalization.
Camper describes trees shaken and possible encounter near Waverly
The witness and companions were hunting and camping by a gravel pit near a pond. In the late evening they noticed a strong odor from across the water and two of them crossed a dike to investigate. They heard growls and vegetation shook violently, so they retreated. Through the night they heard moaning and howls and had rocks and limbs thrown toward them from across the pond, finding no tracks the next morning.

Three children walking on a wooded footpath noticed a tall female-like figure with a smaller juvenile standing by a tree off to the side. The larger figure stared at them, gave off a dead-animal smell, stepped toward them, growled and bared its teeth after being pointed out. The group fled toward a residence while hearing branches breaking, prolonged howling and screaming, and trees being beaten.
