Sasquatch sighting in Michigan (2020)
After shooting a buck in rain, the witness followed a tracking string that unexpectedly went 15 feet up into trees and across toward high sand dunes. He later found a rear leg, front leg, blood and guts indicating something else had torn the deer. He then saw a wide black figure and a thinner gray figure fight, with one slapped rolling down the hill before walking off.
Intimidation of deer hunter one mile from "Arkansas Sphinx" rock formation
The witness arrived before daylight to deer hunt from a ground blind near a road above a steep slope. From inside the blind he heard coyotes, then hollering, rock-banging or wood-knock sounds, and whoops as something ran up the slope, crossed the road, and stopped in thick brush behind him. He then heard loud raspy breathing and growling and smelled a strong obnoxious odor for about five minutes before the animal ran away along the treeline and the woods went quiet.
Growl near Twin Falls, Idaho (2018)
The witness and a friend hiked into a canyon near the home in daylight and stayed until after dark. They heard a loud growl, saw a shredded tree, then saw a giant black bipedal mass cross the trail and heard it parallel them under tree canopy as they left.
Sasquatch sighting in Illinois (2016)
The witness was night fishing alone from a boat on a T-shaped strip-mine lake when a growl intensified nearby. A large dark figure stood up behind boats on the bank and faced him, then displayed, charged a short distance, breathed heavily, screamed and left vocalizing. He kept a handgun trained on it, drifted away, and watched it disappear into shadows.

Alone at sunup to hang a trail camera, the witness encountered two black-haired juveniles about 15 feet away. The larger one stepped toward him, bared teeth and growled, then followed him to the road and struck him between the shoulder blades, knocking him across the road. The witness grabbed for his sidearm but did not shoot as the creature walked away.
Ginseng hunter and stepson have lengthy encounter 20 miles west of Beckley
The witness and a companion were harvesting ginseng when they heard repeated unusual sounds including a low growl and a loud siren-like tone. Over several minutes they heard heavy fast footsteps and watched smaller trees shake violently while catching partial glimpses of a large bipedal creature that kept trees between itself and them. Several trees snapped and fell in the same direction, and rocks were later seen rolling down a nearby point. The pair inspected freshly broken trees before leaving the area the way they came.
Campers hear possible night-time responses near Aeneas Valley Road
The witness was camping with a group on a friend's undeveloped property and spent two nights riding ATVs to a remote spot to try imitation yells and tree knocks for fun. The group reported hearing responding knocks, high-pitched vocalizations, loud grunt-like growls from in front and behind, and a very loud tree-breaking sound, all from about 75 to 300 yards away. Nothing was ever seen, and the group left the hillside quickly after the close growls, later listening from camp.
Homeless camper reports stalking by a bigfoot near Great Egg Harbor River
The witness was stealth camping alone in woods near town. Late at night a powerful foul odor filled the tent, followed by bipedal footsteps circling the tent, breathing and sniffing at the tarp. After the witness shouted, the visitor growled, walked away on two feet, and wood-on-wood knocks were heard as the odor faded. The witness left the area the next morning.
Sasquatch sighting in Oregon (2014)
After hearing heavy metal banging for several nights, the witness ran armed from his fifth-wheel to a 30x40 foot excavation pit. He confronted two 8-9 foot hair-covered beings on the far side and a 4-foot juvenile trapped in the 12-foot hole, while a 10-11 foot individual flanked near his truck. After a scream-roar and standoff where he lowered his aim off the juvenile, the adults retrieved the juvenile and withdrew silently to the treeline. He packed up, later had researchers trespass after his cousin told them, filled the hole, and sold the property.

The witness was photographing along the tree line on the south side of the lake when she heard a close grunting-snorting sound followed by a deep growl without seeing the source. Shaken, she returned toward two fishermen and then left across the dam, photographing a large print in the mud. From the car area she heard the same loud vocalization coming from across the lake where she had been and saw the fishermen hurrying across the dam, after which all parties left.
Footsteps in Washington (2012)
Two brothers parked for a late-night talk on a forest road when heavy footsteps surrounded the car on several sides and powerful growls approached the rear. After repositioning the car in moonlight they saw a dark shape shifting in a tree, heard heavy breathing, and watched a very tall muscular dark creature cross the road and peer from behind a stump. A second slender gray creature leapt across the road, the large one dropped to all fours and left, and the brothers later realized hours had passed.
Vocalization (2012)
A lone member sat in a daytime observation post in Area X and heard mouth-pop sounds from multiple points. He imitated the sounds and received a menacing growl, then the animal bluff-charged him. He saw it only briefly, fired a warning shot, and it stopped and retreated.
Young man walking home at 1:30am reports stalking and tree shaking near Deschutes River in Vail
After a companion fell asleep, the witness decided to walk home late at night along a road bordered by young planted trees. Something in the trees paced him from the side, stopping when he stopped and continuing when he walked. When he tried to look larger and shouted, he heard deep grunts and saw two small trees shake vigorously. He called a nearby friend for a ride and kept shouting until he was picked up.
Family experiences strange occurences while fishing Kankakee River
Four people were night fishing when the two who stayed by the fire reported footsteps and brush movement behind them. The witness later heard walking sounds, a grunt/growl from 20-30 yards away, noticed a strong pungent odor, and heard a whooping sound from the same direction. As the group walked out around 12:30 a.m. the witness felt they were being followed toward the bridge. No creature was seen.
Growl in Florida (2011)
The witness walked a narrow tractor trail at night to check a hog trap while a companion waited in the car. He heard footsteps, a deep rumbling growl, and smelled an intensely foul odor, then sensed something following and stopping behind him. The companion turned on headlights and saw a very tall, black-haired biped standing close behind him making threatening fist and foot displays. The creature crashed away through brush when lights flashed, and the witness abandoned his equipment and never returned.

The witness walked through the woods to his deer blind for a late hunt and smelled a foul odor. He saw a large hairy creature with its head in the blind, which stood up and faced him for about 10-15 seconds. After grunting, stomping, and staring, the creature stepped over fences and left into the woods.
Late afternoon encounter by hunters scouting for deer between Cadillac and Manton
The witness and two companions were scouting for deer season by a creek near a cedar swamp when they heard an unfamiliar low growl. After the witness threw stones toward the sound, they saw a dark upright shadow moving at the swamp edge and rocks were thrown back toward them. Hearing further growls and large branches breaking, the group left quickly for their vehicle.

Three people with a dog were hunting raccoons at night along a deer trail when they noticed something following them. They used a spotlight to watch a large dark standing figure about 50 yards away with reddish eyes on multiple occasions over 15-20 minutes while hearing strange grunting. The dog stayed close and shook, and the group returned to the truck and left because they were scared.
Night time foot race with an unseen animal near Woodinville
Late at night the witness walked home alone along a familiar wooded trail and heard something moving parallel in the brush, breathing heavily. When the witness stopped the sounds stopped, and when walking resumed the follower kept pace. The witness ran toward home and the follower pursued onto gravel and pavement on two feet while making low growls and calls and trying to cut the witness off. At the house the witness's dog confronted the unseen pursuer, which halted very close before withdrawing into the brush.
Animal behaviour (2009)
A husband contacted investigators because his wife was being beaten, scratched and thrown by something unseen, leaving linear scratches in threes. The investigator surveilled the home for about a year and a half and videotaped two attacks in April 2011 accompanied by a static discharge sound and growl. After a distant mass and a deliverance prayer, the attacks stopped and she has remained free since 2011.
