He went to the parking lot with a machete and faced eyeshine about 70 feet away. He and the creature mimicked each other's movements and exchanged grunts for 20 to 30 minutes until a fishing bell rang and it walked away whistling softly.

A witness walking alone to a river bridge in the evening stopped after spotting a hair-covered figure squatting at the river edge about 30 feet away. The figure kept its back turned for several minutes while breaking open and eating mussels or clams, striking some on rocks. Hearing heavy breathing behind, the witness turned and saw a tall, athletic, hair-covered male-like creature standing by a tree on the bank about 100-150 feet away. The two stared at each other for several minutes, and as the witness moved sideways downstream the creature moved between trees keeping watch, until the witness reached the companion; when they returned the creature was gone and no prints were found in dry sandy soil.

While driving to work in the early morning the witness saw heat lightning behind him and then a bright neon-blue flash revealing a large oval object in the clouds ahead. About 20 to 30 seconds later a tall thin wolf-like biped sprinted from a mowed field across the road in one stride. It leaped about 20 feet into a tree over a creek, spun, steadied itself with a hand, and stared at him as he passed with high beams on.

For almost every night over the next three months the witness returned to the same area to fish. He repeatedly heard hollers as something walked by and heard movement in brush behind the original encounter tree. When he caught fish he left them by the tree for it and then walked away.
