A group of four was camped overnight in a remote riverside campground. About 3 a.m. the witness, sleeping in a vehicle, woke to rustling and watched a large dark figure hunched over the picnic table going through bags and trash from about 15 feet away. Companions in tents heard rustling and grunting. In the morning there was no scattered trash, but a charcoal bag showed marks and some contents missing.

The creatures were said to peer in windows, mimic an infant's sounds, produce a strong septic odor, throw heavy tanks, damage a vehicle, and leave hair on the house. Livestock on surrounding farms were found dead with intestines removed. After the father fired through a wall at one creature, only the smaller one was reportedly seen, and activity lessened after relatives guarded the house and a protective ritual was performed.

In childhood, the witness and a companion heard a thumping noise while playing and went to investigate. They saw a large hairy animal squatting nearby using pieces of firewood to dig in the ground. The animal stood up, bared its teeth silently, and walked toward them, causing them to flee into the companion's house. When an adult checked moments later, the animal was gone leaving only disturbed ground.
