For several hours something circled the camp a few yards away, producing walking and breathing sounds and a musky odor. One companion glimpsed the figure in firelight as a much taller and wider upright figure, and it followed them out and crossed a road in a few steps as they left.

Near the bridge at Fairmount Road, the witness saw a reddish-brown figure digging at the ground beside the bridge. Afterwards the witness found a porch freezer broken into with frozen food scattered, plus white hairs and ground impressions.

The witness was squirrel hunting in a small farm woodlot on a sunny mid-morning when noisy birds in the underbrush drew attention. At a bend in a lane the witness saw a tall reddish-brown hairy biped standing off the trail about 25 yards away and they stared at each other without moving. After a standoff the creature raked berries from a shrub and ate them while glancing between the shrub and the witness. The witness slowly backed away out of sight, then walked fast and ran from the woodlot.

Two children testing walkie-talkies in dense woods noticed a dark-faced figure watching them from behind a fallen tree. After several minutes of it shifting position and studying them, they backed away, saw it rise and place its hands on the trunk, then screamed and ran. They heard a loud crack and glimpsed the black, powerfully built biped running away almost silently.

Three children exploring deep woods came to a wide stream and saw two hair-covered figures crouched on the opposite bank drinking. The figures stared at the children for about 30 seconds, then one made a hand motion and both turned and ran into the woods. The children ran the opposite way until out of the woods.

The witness and a companion were descending from a mountain summit in the afternoon when the witness noticed a dark humanlike figure standing in the pass above them. Both watched as the figure waved its very long arms up and down over its head in a way they felt was threatening. Clouds then covered the pass, and the two continued down to the trailhead.

A dark, man-like figure covered in black hair was seen at close range; it swayed, appeared to study the witness, and started to approach. The witness went to the bottom of a hill near a relative's home at Canton Lake to smoke. After hearing a crushing and rustling noise, the witness saw a tall black bipedal being about twenty yards away that looked at the witness and raised its arms. The witness then ran back up the hill to the relative's home.

The witness was walking at night with a flashlight to fetch ice when dogs began barking loudly. A very large hair-covered biped ran from behind a house toward the woods, then rushed to the road edge, stared with glowing eyes and made a loud growling sound. The witness screamed and fled home, and a search the next day found no tracks.

On a summer evening in the late 1970s, the witness rode a bicycle onto an abandoned railroad-bed trail near woods. Behind dumped washers and dryers the witness saw a hair-covered figure that stood upright, grunted, and shook a sapling. The witness fled east, looked back to see the figure on the trail, then watched it walk back into the treeline.

In 1979 the witness had moved ahead of a hiking group in the Adirondacks to watch beavers and was walking back to the main trail. Something flushed from thick brush ran diagonally toward the witness on the trail, pounding loudly and wailing like a woman screaming, and was seen partially as a fast, upright furry figure about four and a half feet tall. The witness initially assumed a bear cub but later doubted that because it ran upright for about 150 feet and the vocalization resembled sounds associated with Bigfoot reports.

They reported seeing a pair of red glowing eyes about eight feet high that watched them for about a minute, though no body outline was visible in the dark. The source of the eyes then turned and moved away through the woods making crashing sounds.

Late at night the witness walked down a snowy farm lane and saw a large dark hairy figure standing by a pond about 80 to 100 yards away, feeling that it was watching them. The witness ran down the lane while loud crashing noises from the woods kept pace, then continued to a relative's house and collapsed inside without reporting what happened at the time.

In 1978 the witness was picnicking with family near Wellington Lake in the afternoon when she saw a white-furred bipedal creature about 60 feet away. The creature repeatedly stepped out from behind a boulder and ducked back as a companion turned to look, repeating this four to five times before disappearing. The companion never saw it. The creature alternated between bipedal and stooped postures and moved swiftly and silently, striking the witness as playful rather than frightening.
