The witness was driving late at night on a highway in West Virginia when a large coyote-like animal stepped into the road. The witness swerved to avoid it, then saw it on all fours before it stood on two legs and charged toward the car. The witness fled, felt a bump at the rear of the car, and saw the creature keep pace at highway speed before leaving the road.

Two friends camped off a gated logging road after noticing a possible tree structure. At night they heard knocks and breaking sticks, saw green eyeshine uphill, and the co-witness saw a smaller black creature with red eyes moving between trees. Rocks were then thrown back at them, sparking on the rails and clanging on the metal cars. After smelling a dead-animal stench and hearing more impacts they climbed over a barbed-wire fence to the road and took a long route home.
