The witness and a companion walked slowly with low lights near a camp by a waterway. A very loud wood-on-wood impact like a large branch hitting a tree sounded nearby. The companion remained calm while the witness wanted to leave. They walked backward to the vehicle and ended the night.

The guest was canoeing with a church youth group near Mount Shasta when the group felt they were being followed along the bank and smelled a bad odor. A basketball-sized rock was thrown with great force from dense cover and landed near his canoe, prompting leaders to flee. Years later he learned a boy in another canoe had seen a head show its teeth then withdraw, which he now attributes to a Sasquatch.

The witness's father and two companions were cooking steaks at a deer camp after dark when something approached loudly, yelled and screamed aggressively, ripped branches and felled a pine tree near them. The following Friday during a distant football game whose sound echoed through the ravine, the witness heard intense tree beating and stomping like elephants. A plastic sled was beaten against a tree. He hung his phone out the window so an outside contact could hear.
Whoop in Ohio
About a month after a nearby sighting made the papers, the witness played internet sounds with friends as a joke. After about 45 minutes they heard knocks, whoops, growls and had pebbles and rocks thrown at them. On the hill they saw eyeshine that ducked into grass, heard something following them, and later rocks hit the deck and porch.
