Around 5 a.m. something shook the truck violently side to side several times, waking both occupants. In 1977 two companions hunting frogs at a remote pond heard a roar and saw trees moving. One saw a large brown hairy form partly hidden behind a cedar tree and swaying. Both fled on foot while hearing heavy thuds, and one saw a large rock bouncing nearby. A few days later they returned and found a cleared limb bed and a limb torn from a mesquite tree, but no footprints due to rocky ground.

Late one night at a remote hunting camp, the witness and two companions saw a tall grayish-brown bipedal creature step onto the porch and try to kick in the front door. The creature then ran around the back of the camp and gave an extremely loud yell or scream that woke others in camp. The witness described it as walking on hind legs and having hands rather than paws.

Three teenagers camping in a field behind a house smelled urine and heard something rushing through nearby woods. They fled toward the house as a tall hairy creature pursued them and later stood over their campfire throwing logs aside. The witness was fly-fishing at night along the river below Hauser Dam and walked back to his lamp on a boulder to retie a fly. He shone the lamp on movement about 10 feet away and watched a large hairy biped move rapidly up the steep rocky bank and disappear within seconds. Afterward he noticed two of his four pooled trout were missing and heard a boulder crash downstream, then left with the remaining fish.

They retreated to a bedroom without curtains where they heard breathing and scratching and saw a hairy hand against the window screen. The companion fired two shots that missed, and the figure ran away. A sheriff who responded found bullet holes but no blood or footprints.

In February 1977 five youths camped in two VW buses at a remote, densely forested campground in the Trinity Alps. On two consecutive nights around 10:30 p.m., something rushed down the steep hill behind camp and violently rocked the bus the witness slept in. The first morning packs were found strewn and torn open; the second night a large boulder was found wedged behind the bus tire and the other bus had shifted about five feet toward the river. The group reported seeing nothing because windows were iced over, noting only hillside skid marks, rushing noises, and a brief strong odor before leaving early.

The witness family discovered their very heavy cable-spool picnic table missing from their yard. Along a path bordered by cornfield and forest they found places where the spool had been rolled and carried, along with very large human-like footprints. They later found the spool about a mile away where it had been tossed into a steep gully, and felt children were unlikely to have moved it over rugged terrain.

At night while at home, the witness and two relatives heard a loud impact that shook the rear of the house. They then observed a tall, large dark hair-covered figure passing a high dining-room window and filling it from edge to edge. A relative retrieved a firearm and the household stayed awake for most of the night.
Daytime sighting between Pocahontas and Imboden
The witness was in the yard when the dog barked at something on the ridge road about 200 yards away. The witness saw a bipedal creature stop, come downhill toward the yard, and break through an electric fence before looking around and walking quickly away over the hill. Later the witness returned with a parent to search but found no footprints because the ground was very dry.

Two teenage boys clearing brush saw an animal approach, growl and pelt them with rocks, hitting one in the leg. They fled to a nearby house and returned with an older girl carrying a rifle. The creature was still there growling and throwing rocks, a shot was fired with a heavy recoil knocking the shooter down, and both groups left.

The family heard a radio news bulletin about a Bigfoot sighting coming their way. That night hunting dogs reacted violently on chains, farm animals were agitated, lights were turned out, guns were retrieved, a strong bad smell was noticed outside, and one dog was later missing.

The witness and a companion were on a deer-hunting trip and had parked to sleep in the bed of a truck. Late at night they heard a loud howl followed by rapid gibberish and saw a dark shape in the road that stood and moved away with smooth motion. After returning to the truck and falling asleep, the witness was awakened by the truck rocking and heard something move alongside the vehicle before kicking scattered camp gear and walking away.

At age 10 the guest was camping with his father and others on a river sandbar. He woke around 3 a.m. with a stomach ache and sat by the fire. A hairy human-like creature waded in the water, inspected two fish baskets, took one with catfish, looked at him, and walked away.

The witness was sleeping in a tent with a cousin at a scout camp when waking late at night to sounds at the central table. From the tent flap the witness watched a tall broad ape-like creature pry open the troop food box and eat bread and donuts. After another boy shouted bear, the creature stood upright, tore down the tarp, vocalized, then walked quickly between the tents into the woods.

During a church retreat campground stay, the witness lay awake in a top bunk on a stormy night after lights-out. She heard the screen door open and shut, smelled a foul odor, heard heavy shuffling steps and breathing with a soft growl behind her bunk, and felt something large and furry trace her face. She next remembers waking on the floor, and the next morning a bunkmate said she had seen a big black hairy creature standing behind the witness.

A family on a farm found a solid wooden garage door torn off and eight pet rabbits killed and mutilated with little blood, after hearing a woman-like scream. On subsequent nights they saw a seven-foot hairy creature near the road and under the yard light. They fired on it as it entered the coop and came toward them, then sent children away. Police blamed a bear, raccoon or wild dog.

The witness says that for several years while hunting along a creek in East Texas he repeatedly had objects thrown past him and heard rustling suggesting something large moving around him. He never saw anything during this period and dismissed the incidents as natural at the time. He notes only he, his father and a friend used the area.
