While lying in a sleeping bag, the witness heard footsteps approach from the wooded side and saw a human-like outline shadowed in a distant campfire glow. The figure bumped the corner of the tent, shaking it, paused as if staring, then moved toward the front where it could no longer be heard on pavement.

The creature then ran around the back of the camp and gave an extremely loud yell or scream that woke others in camp. The witness described it as walking on hind legs and having hands rather than paws.
