Sasquatch sighting (1981)
The witness was left to walk up a long steep driveway at night after others drove ahead and heard heavy steps matching her own. Near a lit barn she saw a very tall shadow, ran, and felt it breathing over her head. Her dog intervened and was picked up and thrown over a pool, suffering severe tearing, and hairs not belonging to the dog were later found in its mouth.

In the evening the witness and two family members were at home when a strong foul odor entered through open windows. A relative then saw a large hairy unclothed figure watching the house, chased it toward the chicken area where it carried a chicken, hit a wire fence and leapt over a brush pile to escape. The witness drove to a wildlife management area for an evening deer hunt and climbed into his stand. A frightened doe hid beneath the stand, then a very tall, black-haired, human-faced creature appeared, stared at him, growled when he aimed his rifle, and exchanged shrill whistles with another individual nearby. The witness fled on foot to his truck, fired a warning shot, drove away, and saw a large black hand reach for the tailgate and a second creature standing with the first.

The witness was home watching a baseball game when a strange noise from the back porch prompted investigation with a pistol. The witness reported seeing a large dark upright shadow-like figure running toward the woods, firing shots, then seeing it again near an old stable and firing again without hitting it. Afterwards the witness found a porch freezer broken into with frozen food scattered, plus white hairs and ground impressions.

The witness was watching television at home at night when a loud disturbance on the porch drew attention. Looking outside, the witness reported seeing a large white hairy creature holding a rooster, which it threw against the house before moving behind the house. The witness pursued it with a pistol and fired twice as it ran out of sight up a gravel road.

The witness and a young relative spent the night in a camp trailer near the family house. Over several hours at night they heard heavy bipedal footsteps circling the trailer, brushing and clawing sounds on the siding, door and ceiling vent, and later blows to the trailer. The witness reported a brief glimpse of a long shaggy finger-like shape through the vent screen, and said the sounds withdrew when a car approached and returned later.

The witness and two companions were exploring a swampy wooded area when they found a large steel cage trap baited with fresh meat. After noticing a foul musty odor, they heard a very loud roar from behind them and fled as a large log flew over their heads. They ran home to tell the witness's mother and stayed out of those woods for a long time.

The witness lived on wooded acreage in the early 1980s and reported ongoing strange activity over several years. He described finding a pole teepee structure and twisted saplings, hearing distant whistle-like sounds and whistling on the hill, seeing red and green eyeshine at night, pursuing unseen footsteps in snow without finding tracks, and having rocks and wood thrown. He stated he never had a clear sighting but concluded an intelligent, elusive presence lived nearby.

Late one night the witness was sitting on the porch at home alone with a dog when something was heard breaking through brush. The witness went inside for a rifle, heard the thing move to the back of the house and try the door, then fled through an orange grove, fell into a swamp and lost the rifle. After looking back and seeing a creature, the witness reached the road and got help, and friends later found the back door torn off.

Two hunters walking toward a river heard a splash and saw a dark, muscular, hairy creature with its back to them. The creature pulled a cypress stump from the mud, threw it into the river, then turned to look at them and walked briskly away along the riverbank. The men then found large human-like footprints at the spot where it had stood.

Earlier the same summer the two men camped near the top of a mountain by an obvious cave. Something grabbed the front pole of their A-frame tent in the middle of the night and shook it repeatedly. One man struck upward with a cast iron pan, after which the shaking stopped and they stayed inside.

A woman on a farm near Bedford reported long-term poltergeist activity and in 1980 saw three colored balls of light at the foot of her bed that moved down the hall and into a room. Discolored circles were later found on the window screen and reportedly tested as highly irradiated. She reported illness afterward and later hip bone changes described as consistent with radiation.

In the early 80s the father camped alone at a secluded bow camp and heard something large walk in talking gibberish like a drunk man and root through camp. It circled the tent and pressed a finger down on the canvas, leaving a half-moon cut, then left toward a second babbling voice on the hill. On a later return visit a green aspen blocked the road with no wind and structures were noted.

As retold from her mother, an uncle fled a remote farmhouse with his family after a creature harassed them, then returned with another uncle to find the interior destroyed. During the same period a small dog that ran into the dark was thrown hard against the house and survived but remained fearful outside afterward.

Years later while working in law enforcement, the witness drove to a remote trailhead to pick up a fire-watcher ranger during a dry fall with active forest fires. Concerned when the ranger did not appear after dark, he walked up the trail with a flashlight and rifle and found the ranger hiding by a rock. Together they watched a tall, long-armed figure with large reflective eyes at the far edge of a clearing for an extended period before it crouched, raked grass, backed into the woods, and circled away crashing through brush. The ranger later said he had already encountered the same figure on the trail, where it screamed at him, caused him to drop his kit, and threw his bag, which was never recovered.

The guest's mother had her front door destroyed by something trying to get inside in the early morning hours. She fired a rifle at it inside the house, suffering hearing loss, and later replaced the door with a metal door with two deadbolts.
Property disturbance in Texas (1980)
While squirrel hunting the witness ate part of a pack of crackers and left the rest on a stump. When he returned the next morning the crackers were gone and small white onion-like wildflowers had been left on the stump. He says this was when he began connecting his experiences.
UFO sighting in Virginia (1980)
A farm resident reported waking to three softball-sized colored orbs hovering in line at the foot of her bed, moving in formation down a hallway and into a dining room before disappearing. Next morning she found three circular discolored spots on a window screen. A team radiochemist analysis reportedly found high irradiation and neutron flux effects, and she later reported flu-like illness and porous hip bone described as radiation-like.
