The witness reports that during winter 1978-79 the household repeatedly heard loud howls and screams late at night around their rural home. Drain pipes around the home were knocked down and many large human-like footprints were found. The tracks were later destroyed by the witness's father, and the witness interprets the sounds and tracks as a Sasquatch passing through.

He also saw a large upright human-shaped silhouette move quickly and silently between trees about 50 yards away. The witness was driving late at night on a highway in West Virginia when a large coyote-like animal stepped into the road. The witness swerved to avoid it, then saw it on all fours before it stood on two legs and charged toward the car. The witness fled, felt a bump at the rear of the car, and saw the creature keep pace at highway speed before leaving the road.
