The witness was camping with relatives south of Crater Lake and sleeping alone in a tent at night. While lying in a sleeping bag, the witness heard footsteps approach from the wooded side and saw a human-like outline shadowed in a distant campfire glow. The figure bumped the corner of the tent, shaking it, paused as if staring, then moved toward the front where it could no longer be heard on pavement.

Two sisters sleeping in a tent trailer awoke early in the morning to scratching on the bottom, top and sides of their bunk. When they unzipped a window they smelled a strong foul odor and saw dark brown fur pressed against the mesh. They woke their parents, but whatever was there was gone by the time the parents went outside.

While driving east on the interstate at night in rain, the occupants of a car and surrounding traffic slowed for a tall dark figure running on and across the highway. The witness viewed the figure at close range from the passenger window and described eye contact and an expression of fear before it struck an oncoming pickup camper, ran up an embankment, and entered the trees.

The guest and three companions camped several days in remote central Oregon to look into Bigfoot. They smelled a skunky BO odor, felt something brush tents, found large and human-sized barefoot prints, heard human-like grunts, found torn branches and an uprooted tree, had apples taken from high up with sticker skin peeled, and saw a bulky dark figure at the treeline captured as a blurry night-vision still. They left early due to bad weather.

One morning the headlights lit a tall slender hair-covered humanoid standing in the road. The following fall archery opener, five hunters camped at the same site and the guest shot a buck in hot weather, butchering it and hanging the inedible carcass across the creek about nine feet up. After 10 p.m. they heard heavy footfalls and feeding grunts, fired guns to scare the animal, found the carcass pulled down, rehung it higher twice with the same result, then listened as it stripped rib meat requiring great grip strength. One companion left for Alaska afterward and the guest never returned to the area.
