Footsteps in West Virginia (2021)

While hammock camping alone beside an established game trail, the witness heard very heavy running approaching and called out thinking it was the homeowner. The runner stopped dead silent nearby, then circled the hammock, plucked the metal tines of a rake left as a barrier, and gave a deep, bassy growl after she hissed. She heard no departure sounds and eventually fell asleep, learning the next morning the homeowner had not been outside.
