While cleaning a construction office trailer around midnight, the wife stepped outside and saw a tall hair-covered figure watching from behind a tree about 25 feet away. She stared for a couple minutes as it leaned to look around the tree, then ran inside. The couple checked the area with headlights, saw nothing, waited in the dark, and heard whistling and rustling before leaving. In daylight the next day they found nothing that explained the figure.

The witness was coonhunting with dogs in flooded timber at night when the dogs treed separately. After catching their own dogs, the witness heard wading steps, a growl and a whistling sound and smelled a strong putrid odor while the dogs whimpered. The witness then saw a very tall hair-covered creature standing behind them that hissed and splashed water toward them before the witness fled. The creature followed briefly then moved away making moaning sounds, and the witness saw a very large four-toed footprint while leaving.

Shortly after graduation the witness and three friends camped overnight in a vacant house and were tormented by whistles and loud bangs on windows all night. They found the house completely destroyed when they returned the next day. On a dusk return with shotguns they saw trailers upslope, heard the whistle again, and a large rock was thrown at them, prompting gunfire before they fled.

The witness was deer hunting alone from a power line easement and walking back to the truck when a rock struck his chest. A creature screamed and ran toward him, then appeared at his truck and climbed onto the bed. He shot it with a .22 Magnum above the eye, it fled screaming, and a large rock later struck his truck on a bridge as he drove out.

After about ten minutes of quiet, they heard a loud bang like a shotgun, loud splashing near shore, and repeated very large rocks thrown into the water. After retreating uphill and pausing by the car, they heard a branch snap and rustling, and an unseen presence loudly mimicked the witness's whistle by vocalizing.

Over several days and nights they reported heavy impacts, rustling, a skunk-like odor, red eyeshine, wood knocks, whistles, talk-like mumbling, a whoop-ending vocalization, and bent trees and branch structures. The most intense moment was a predawn episode with a deep guttural roar followed by a scream-like sound near camp. They left early after smelling the odor again near a plum thicket.

The witness drove to a wildlife management area for an evening deer hunt and climbed into his stand. A frightened doe hid beneath the stand, then a very tall, black-haired, human-faced creature appeared, stared at him, growled when he aimed his rifle, and exchanged shrill whistles with another individual nearby. Over several hours at night they heard heavy bipedal footsteps circling the trailer, brushing and clawing sounds on the siding, door and ceiling vent, and later blows to the trailer. The witness reported a brief glimpse of a long shaggy finger-like shape through the vent screen, and said the sounds withdrew when a car approached and returned later.

The witness lived on wooded acreage in the early 1980s and reported ongoing strange activity over several years. He described finding a pole teepee structure and twisted saplings, hearing distant whistle-like sounds and whistling on the hill, seeing red and green eyeshine at night, pursuing unseen footsteps in snow without finding tracks, and having rocks and wood thrown. He stated he never had a clear sighting but concluded an intelligent, elusive presence lived nearby.

Throughout the night the group heard bushes thrashing, repeated tree knocks, and loud long whistles coming from different sides of the camp. Counselors kept everyone by the fire until daylight, when another scout group helped them leave and police were called but reportedly found nothing.
