Possible sighting and rock throwing on a farm east of Edinburg
Late in the evening the witness was sitting by an outdoor fire near a pasture when she noticed a head-and-shoulders outline above tall weeds to her side and heard a slight noise from that direction. She then saw a small limestone rock rolling nearby, which alarmed her because no natural cause was apparent, and she went inside. The next morning she found sticks, corn stalks and dirt clods in the driveway but nothing explaining the shape.
Possible nighttime sighting and vocalizations in a backyard near Old Ripley
The witness was in bed late at night when barking dogs prompted them to go outside. They saw a dog run under the porch and something retreat into the woods. After shouting and tossing a small stone into the trees, the witness heard a shriek/howl and the stone was thrown back to land at their feet. The witness ran inside, then returned with a flashlight to find twisted vegetation and snapped branches and noted a foul smell.

Late on a bright-moon winter night after the house had been quiet, a thunderous bang shook the wall. The guest looked up and saw a dog-like face with a white toothy grin and yellow eyes looking down through the upper pane, nose pressed to glass. After staring, it slid toward the open window above his head making a squeak on glass, banged the wall again, and the guest fled to the living room couch. He avoided the room, kept curtains closed, and the family moved that spring.
Memory told of encounter at a remote cabin at Sandy Run
The main witness was sleeping in the front room of a remote lakeside cabin with a relative when she awoke at night to the porch screen door opening and footsteps. She watched a large, red-haired, bipedal figure pass three front windows and pause at the door to peer inside, bending down to look in. Frightened, she fled to sleep with her grandparents and did not speak of the incident for years.
Close encounter while fishing remembered near Giant City State Park
The witness was fishing alone at a small wooded lake in the afternoon when brush breaking, snapping trees, and splashing rocks drew attention. The witness turned to see a large muscular creature standing nearby that emitted a loud high-pitched scream. The witness froze, the creature quickly retreated into the woods, and the witness fled down the trail to the vehicle.

A bow hunter waiting in a deer stand at sunrise heard something approach and saw a non-deer face staring up at him from all fours. He drew his bow but did not shoot, and the animal walked slowly away on all fours. When he later climbed down he found the bottom eight feet of his ladder crushed like an accordion.
