The group heard grunting, whistling, chatter, footsteps and close tree-breaking, had pebbles and a rock thrown, and saw large upright black shadow figures with night vision and naked eyes. One figure was seen behind a truck and one coworker was startled by movement in brush, with no one seriously hurt.

He confronted it with a .22 rifle, and after it growled and roared he shot it in the throat, then in the hand, then multiple times in the chest as it screamed, broke saplings, and ran straight through a barbed-wire fence across a hay meadow. Later that day his father found broken trees, blood and hair on the sycamore, and blood and hair on the broken fence wires.

The witness saw a very hairy bipedal creature standing outside the window and went outside without a weapon. A strong musky stench was smelled and footsteps were heard stopping at the dark treeline, then the witness retreated inside without seeing it again.

At night after the woods went quiet, something heavy approached bipedally, roared, reached through pines shaking and pulling them, and lunged with huge hands. He knelt and put his shotgun in its midsection but did not fire when it backed off, then it screamed, circled the camp throwing trees, iron-ore rocks and dirt while they kept a bonfire burning until early morning.

He woke to something pulling the door handle and saw a large dog-like head with black fur and an elongated snout breathing on the window.
