At Area X, after rocks were thrown on cabin tin roofs, five people sat outside in daylight and heard walking. Two creatures, a larger and a smaller one, approached from the bottleneck area. The witness stood, pointed, and ran toward them, triggering a camera without capturing them, and the pair fled rapidly and quietly up a steep hillside.

The witness approached a log where his partner saw a limb snap back, saw nothing, then later his partner ran toward two upright dark figures circling to flank them. The larger collided with the smaller when she charged, then both fled rapidly uphill, one on all fours.

When he turned, the group saw a very tall, very wide female creature holding a tree and throwing rocks while grunting and swaying, then they fled to the truck and left all gear.

The guest was deer hunting from a power line easement and was walking back to the truck in late afternoon when a baseball-sized rock hit his chest and a creature screamed and ran toward him. He dropped his rifle, reached the truck, and when the creature came over the truck bed within feet while screaming, he shot it with a pistol above the left eye. The creature screamed and fled through the woods, and as he drove away a soccer-ball-sized rock struck his truck.

The witness was deer hunting alone from a power line easement and walking back to the truck when a rock struck his chest. A creature screamed and ran toward him, then appeared at his truck and climbed onto the bed. He shot it with a .22 Magnum above the eye, it fled screaming, and a large rock later struck his truck on a bridge as he drove out.

In the evening the witness and two family members were at home when a strong foul odor entered through open windows. A relative then saw a large hairy unclothed figure watching the house, chased it toward the chicken area where it carried a chicken, hit a wire fence and leapt over a brush pile to escape. Later a hairy face appeared in the living-room window, a storage building and freezer were found entered, and responding deputies found nothing.

In the fight the creatures were killed, but the captain and previously missing women and children were found dead and buried.
