They heard something large breaking branches and moving down a canyon behind them, then smelled a strong rotten wet-dog odor and felt watched, so they left. When they returned about an hour later, a large steel trash bin had been knocked over and had a large circular dent.

After a rock was thrown toward the unseen sounds, something shrieked, circled the camp and emitted a loud high-pitched scream, prompting them to leave and later return with a parent. The primary witness heard noises again overnight, and the next morning the group found large footprints, hair and a bedding area before the primary witness briefly saw a tall hair-covered upright creature that looked at him and ran away.

In the morning the coolers had been ransacked, and the pair left the campground early the next night after feeling uneasy.

Two friends drove into the Everglades park in the early morning and parked at a pine habitat to nap in their car. They were awakened by an ape-like animal looking into the tinted windows, touching the car, and then rummaging through a nearby dumpster for an extended period while emitting a strong rotten odor. For six to eight months an elderly farmer and his wife reported nightly tapping that followed them room to room, shadows outside windows, a barn door torn open, missing dog food and missing outdoor dogs, and a low voice whispering the indoor dog's name. The group built a fire, discussed what happened, and packed up to leave early.

The witness, part of a two-person wildland fire crew, was descending a steep brushy slope after working a fire when a dropped shovel led him to a rocky ledge with a small cave. He noticed a foul odor at the cave entrance, then saw two rocks thrown from uphill that he concluded the companion could not have thrown. Looking uphill, he watched a dark hairy upright figure moving away through brush for a few seconds before it became still and silent, after which both men left and reported the incident.

The witness and his brother lived in a small cabin and heard loud howling screams from the woods behind the house over about two weeks. The sounds seemed to come closer over successive nights despite shots fired toward the woods. On a final night a very loud howl came from right under the upstairs bedroom window, and the next day broken back steps, a splintered door frame, a strong foul odor, and frightened dogs were noted, after which the witness moved out.

After smelling a rancid odor all day and seeing glimpses, at night in candlelight one witness came face to face at five to six feet with a 7-8 foot tall hairy creature that made a loud robotic ARK bark. They all fled up a hill while it chased and vocalized, later finding the ramp burned from a knocked candle and snacks shredded.

Days later a partner taking garbage out saw a very tall ugly figure eye-to-eye from a deck. The guest heard heavy crunching footsteps in the gorge, shouted, fired a rifle into the air, and listened as it paused then jumped a high bank without breaking stride and moved away.
