Teenage boy witnesses a large blond or tan bigfoot at his door and hears whistling vocalizations.
The witness was reading late at home while dogs barked outside in the rain. A large hairy figure passed the back door making whistling and other sounds, and the porch light went out. The witness opened the door to a strong odor and saw the figure standing about 30 feet away before it left toward the woods amid crashing sounds and a distant answering whistle.

Years later while working in law enforcement, the witness drove to a remote trailhead to pick up a fire-watcher ranger during a dry fall with active forest fires. Concerned when the ranger did not appear after dark, he walked up the trail with a flashlight and rifle and found the ranger hiding by a rock. Together they watched a tall, long-armed figure with large reflective eyes at the far edge of a clearing for an extended period before it crouched, raked grass, backed into the woods, and circled away crashing through brush. The ranger later said he had already encountered the same figure on the trail, where it screamed at him, caused him to drop his kit, and threw his bag, which was never recovered.

The witness, recently out of the military, was fly-fishing with three relatives in a steep, remote river gorge. He turned to see an upright animal at close range that quickly climbed the steep bank to the ridgeline. The group then heard extremely loud guttural vocalizations and huffs, saw movement on the ridge, and had a large rock land in the water near them. They left at dusk and later agreed among themselves it had not been a bear despite one relative's dismissive explanation.

After moving back to the area the family repeatedly heard a woman-like scream from the woods, prompting a 911 call. The next morning the dog refused to enter the tree line and the witness smelled a horrendous odor. On other nights a large bipedal presence was sensed in the tree line and something slapped the trailer.
