They observed a large upright creature crossing a road on thermal, approaching to about 90 feet, then fleeing into a thicket where facial details were seen. Later they heard a howl, whoops from multiple directions and grunting near the truck, then felt an impact while driving out that left a dent from a thrown rock.

Two companions were camping in remote steep woods while digging ginseng when they were awakened late at night by loud howls, screams, growls and chattering. Something shook trees and threw large rocks and small sapling trees into their camp for hours, retreating when the fire was built up and returning as it died down.
