The witness and friends camped at a small creekside site off a mountain road in late June 2018. After evening knocking sounds and a strong musky odor at night, a large human-like creature with yellow eyes appeared at the witness's tent, grabbed it, lifted and dropped the witness inside, then left in a few steps after a shot was fired. The group saw large footprints, later heard whoops from multiple directions, and had a basketball-sized rock thrown at their truck while leaving.

A family was camped in a trailer near a treeline with a deer carcass stored nearby. During the night the family was awakened by rocks hitting the trailer, knocking sounds, growls, screams and whoops. The witness later went outside with a flashlight and saw a single glowing red eye high in the treeline. In the morning stacked rocks were gone, footprints were found, and a large pine by the carcass had been pushed over.

The witness was camping with a group when she heard something large run up behind her through brush downhill from the campsite. She shone a flashlight and saw a pair of reflective eyes about six feet off the ground 10-12 feet away, then panicked and retreated behind the group. The witness awoke around 1:30AM to a rock hitting the hood, then turned on the headlights and saw a tall chocolate-colored creature watching nearby. After about 20-30 seconds it walked away into brush in a few long strides, and the witness left and later contacted authorities.

A witness and his son were camping by a horse corral after building deer blinds. Early in the evening they heard two loud low-pitched screams from different directions, then later watched a pair of red eyes about six to seven feet off the ground for about an hour. Later that night something struck the side of their truck-mounted camper hard enough to shake the truck, but they found nothing outside.

After a loud scream, they fled in their vehicle and both saw a very large gray-skinned creature in the headlights, then left the area.

The witness and his father camped to build blinds and saw three sets of tall red eyeshine outside the fire circle that dimmed when lit. Later something struck their truck camper hard enough to knock items off shelves, then a loud woman-like scream sounded nearby with an answering scream where the eyes had been, followed by movement around the camper all night.

The witness was working alone overnight operating noisy machinery at a mountain job site in the rain. He heard impacts on a metal container, then saw a dark upright figure by the trees that crept toward him as rocks were thrown. He fled to his car, struggled to open a locked gate, then faced a much larger red-eyed figure that snapped a branch, vocalized loudly, and bluff-charged. He escaped in his car with damage to the vehicle.

During midnight rounds at an isolated school compound, the witness crossed a suspension bridge and heard something raiding trash cans by the cookhouse. He threw rocks toward a large dark figure under the eaves, which stood erect, stepped onto the bridge, dodged thrown rocks, vaulted the bridge cables and fled upstream on two legs. He noted glowing eyes and a foul stench, then returned to his trailer without anyone else responding.
