Hunter describes close encounter outside Doty
The witness was driving slowly while road hunting in a gated clearcut area before dark. A large black figure stood up about 15 feet away on a steep downhill slope, showed agitated movements and cheek puffing, muttered and then screamed before leaving over a stump downhill. About an hour later the witness returned with two companions and all three heard pounding on trees and mumbled vocalizations before leaving.
Footsteps in Washington (1987)
In 1987 the witness was deer hunting and camping in eastern Washington. After the group left him alone at a logging road camp, he heard bipedal footsteps approach his tent at night, felt something strike the tent, then heard movement near his car and a log being torn apart in a gully before fleeing by vehicle to the highway. A night or two later he returned with a hunting companion and both heard multiple chattering, tonal and clicking vocalizations from different directions surrounding the camp.
Chatter near Lake Quinault, Washington
A few nights later the guest saw the taped cardboard over the broken kitchen window rhythmically pressing inward as if pushed from outside, while his daughter in her bedroom heard vocalizations outside her window she described as zombie-like. The pressing stopped when she ran in. Next morning he found large and smaller impressions around the house.
