After the dog was sent into brush, yelped, and fled to camp, the nine-year-old [name withheld] saw a tall hair-covered figure standing uphill watching them. The family ran to camp, set up a string-and-can perimeter alarm, then heard growling and rattling around the perimeter before packing up and leaving.

They put out their fire and fled down the trail, saying the figure followed them most of the way back.

The witness had left a pack with clothes and snacks at his deer stand the day before opening weekend and had noticed snacks missing in prior years. Approaching the stand over a ridge, he heard banging and watched a small ape-like juvenile jumping on the stand, swinging from a branch and climbing the ladder for several minutes. When it noticed him it made a low distress call, followed by an extremely loud roar from a wooded island about 100 yards away that he felt in his chest. He fled immediately and returned about a week later to find the stand torn down and the pack and contents shredded over a wide area.

After turning on the light, they reported seeing three bipedal creatures with widely spaced orange-rimmed eyes peering through the screen, one stooping to look in. Livestock on surrounding farms were found dead with intestines removed. After the father fired through a wall at one creature, only the smaller one was reportedly seen, and activity lessened after relatives guarded the house and a protective ritual was performed.

The family moved to their car, and the witness later stood outside in darkness sensing a very tall man-like presence nearby, hearing breathing, footsteps and snapping twigs and smelling a musky foul odor. After headlights showed nothing, the odor and sense of unease lifted and the family returned to the tent for the night before breaking camp the next day.

As a child the witness was at home at night with siblings and a cousin when the doorbell rang repeatedly with no one there. An older brother became hysterical after seeing something peeking from behind a tree and gesturing, and later a neighbor arrived saying something had followed him in the woods. Two older girls then saw a dark form at the bottom of a trail that moved and had red eyes, and also something with a cone-shaped head peeking around a garage, and the younger children later saw a large figure pass by a window.

A youth camping group spent the night in a clearing near dense blackberry brush. Late at night the reporter and companions heard movement approaching through the brush, then retreated to sleeping bags. Overnight two unseen creatures reportedly entered camp, vocalized softly, disturbed food supplies, and stepped on and touched one sleeping girl who remained awake while others slept. At dawn no footprints were found on dry ground.

While living on a military base and walking a trail past eroded hillsides to the beach, the witness repeatedly smelled a strong odor and had small rocks tossed at the back of the carried board. The witness once saw the hairy backside of a large figure running into the hollows, and a friend who teased its speech and threw a rock was chased. Soon after, military police closed the area and the hillside was leveled.

The witness and his wife returned in late January to a rock grotto where he had earlier found a possible bedding area. They found the bed intact but an old wagon moved from a ledge with drag marks in the rock. As they hiked out through a ravine, unseen actors on both ridges followed them for about an hour with knocks, whistles and other vocalizations, shaking and snapping saplings and throwing rocks until the pair reached the woods edge. Neither reported seeing anything.

On a southern farm in the early 1970s horses repeatedly became visibly sweaty, panicked and ran the pasture with wide eyes the morning after nighttime disturbances. The family found braids in manes and tails and large handprints in sweat on flanks and necks. A neighbor's similar report helped them conclude Sasquatch-like visitors were molesting livestock.
