Rock throwing and stalking near Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest
The witness and two relatives were camped in a remote site in the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest. Late at night the witness heard prolonged rustling and crackling at the camper's tarp porch, initially thinking a bear had returned. About half an hour later multiple rounds of rocks struck the camper, including a larger rock on the roof, waking the other two campers. In the morning the camp was undisturbed and a rock was found in a hammock behind the camper.

The witness camped alone for several nights using a thermal imager. On the fourth night an object was thrown near the tent, then a heat signature was seen peeking over brush along a trail. The witness, a contractor who collects road-killed deer, stopped to load a fresh doe into his pickup in the early morning. While seated in the cab reaching for paperwork, he felt the truck shudder and saw in the rearview mirror a dark figure reaching into the truck bed. He drove away quickly, and when he returned minutes later the newly loaded deer and a loading ramp were gone.

As a child the witness was at home at night with siblings and a cousin when the doorbell rang repeatedly with no one there. An older brother became hysterical after seeing something peeking from behind a tree and gesturing, and later a neighbor arrived saying something had followed him in the woods. Two older girls then saw a dark form at the bottom of a trail that moved and had red eyes, and also something with a cone-shaped head peeking around a garage, and the younger children later saw a large figure pass by a window.
