Man recalls primate-like vocalization and rocks thrown at a fishing area in the Rvierside Conservation Area
Three companions walked to a boat ramp on a river at night to watch the water. They heard movement in brush across the water, then heard two rock impacts nearby on the bank and in the river. They then heard an unfamiliar ape-like yowl and huffing sounds from the same direction. They saw nothing and left the area immediately.

The witness camped alone for many days to cleanse after handling a body. After hearing barking and seeing a dark shape swaying in laurel, the witness moved camp. Three people spending the night in a trailer heard distant howling that grew closer and seemed to come from more than one direction, and they called back. Small stones were thrown toward them, and they heard stomping, grunting, knocking, movement in brush close by, and trees breaking. They retreated into a bedroom where screaming, walking, and contact with the outside of the trailer continued for about an hour while one of them looked through window blinds and was left frightened.

The witness and a relative were sleeping in a tent at their hunting camp when loud screams woke the witness. After a long silent interval, something on two feet circled the tent, cast a tall shadow and scratched the fabric, then crossed a gravel road into the woods followed by repeated stick-struck sounds. The relative woke briefly and also heard part of the screaming. No tracks were found the next morning.

While alone in her trailer at night the witness heard what sounded like rocks being thrown at the trailer. After she yelled out the window, something screamed angrily and crashed west through the woods breaking branches, then screamed again farther away. The next day she found rocks on her boardwalk where they should not have been.

During a BFRO trip to Bumping Lake with a friend, the guest was woken around 3:30 a.m. by loud bellowing screams. A hand pushed and swished across the tent near his face and knocked back when he hit the fabric, then walked away. At daylight he found a woven-tree shelter overlooking camps and on exit found the road blocked by three pushed-over trees.

An air horn had no effect, but setting off the truck panic alarm with lights and horn stopped the shaking. About five minutes later a very loud howl-growl-scream came from behind the trailer. The next day the witness and a companion could not replicate the movement by pushing the trailer.

The witness was alone in a remote primitive cabin just after dark on a mid-October evening when she heard repeated loud knocking sounds for 15-20 minutes and then gravel hitting the tin roof. She saw nothing outside and stayed inside with a gun until her husband returned. Her husband later fired guns into the woods and found a fired bullet standing upright in the outdoor shower the next morning.

The witness was bow-hunting elk and reported hearing knocks timed to his steps near a clearing in the afternoon. He then watched through binoculars as a large hair-covered figure struck a log against a dead tree. The witness was lying awake in a tent at a remote lake camp around 1:30 a.m. while three companions slept. He heard footsteps circling camp, smelled a strong animal odor, and saw a large shadowy figure lift his backpack above the tent and appear to try to open it. After he yelled, the figure dropped the pack onto the tent and left camp on foot as the others woke and heard its retreat.

From a bedroom window she watched a small hair-covered biped with its fingers in the door crack for several minutes. When she opened a back door and turned on a porch light, the creature looked toward her and then ran quickly on two legs into an overgrown field.

While searching for deer tracks in a remote creek bottom, the witness reported finding twisted vegetation and large barefoot prints. Later that evening the party sat in the area until dark and reported receiving return wood knocks from three directions and hearing unexplained noises. They then reported hearing objects thrown through the woods toward them, with one small object striking a companion, prompting them to leave.

The witness was backpacking and camping with friends at a small alpine lake. Late at night two campers heard something moving on rocks by the lake and then something hit their tent. The next morning they found 6-7 human-like footprints where the movement had been heard, sunk much deeper than the witness's own print, and photographed them.

He then heard an object strike branches in the air before a large thump landed near his camp. In the morning he found a smooth river rock about 18 inches across where no such rocks should occur, which he interpreted as thrown.

After briefly seeing a juvenile bear emerge and retreat, the witness turned and noticed a large upright human-like shape close by in thick brush. A tree trunk snapped and fell toward the witness, who fled to the car and drove away, later concluding the shape might have been a Sasquatch.

The witness and a relative were fishing at a lake in the early morning when they heard a series of unusual sounds from the woods. The sounds progressed from owl-like hoots to monkey-like chatter, then to repeated loud low screams or deep howls, followed by dog-like barking and yelping. They also heard what sounded like large rocks splashing into the water at a distance. Feeling increasingly uneasy, they left the area a short time later.

While inside he heard movement approach, contact with a vehicle and brushing along the tent with grunting and sniffing, before it walked away.

Three people camped on an island area at Keystone Lake and heard repeated grunting and howl-like vocalizations after midnight. After two people kayaked back to the cars and two returned, the two in kayaks had two very large rocks land in the water near them as they approached shore in darkness. One had earlier seen green eyeshine near the campsite on the first return. Finding no other people on the island, they packed up and left during the night.

The witness and a companion arrived at a house at night and heard repeated loud moans. After the witness called back, nearby trees shook and dogs barked in succession. A grayish two-legged figure then ran quickly across a field with long strides and dropped behind vegetation. Shortly after, metal clanking was heard and lawn furniture was found displaced.

The witness was asleep in a tent when rocks struck the tent. He looked out and saw a large hair-covered figure in nearby brush staring at him, then shouted and woke his tent companion.
